  1. Ben Brooke says:

I found out that the fire started in a bakery in Pudding Lane in 1666 and the king at the time was King Charles II. I think Samuel Pepys wanted people to know about that time. If I was there, I would say the fire was massive and I would have felt scared. I would bury apple juice and a football!

  2. Poppy-Mai says:

The fire starts at the bakery and it keeps spreading everywhere. I would have felt sad if I had been an eye witness because people’s homes were burnt down. I would bury my doll and toys to save them if I had been in the same situation. I would describe it as a big fire and scary.

  3. Matthew Russell says:

The Great Fire of London was in 1666 and it started in Pudding Lane. I’ve learnt that the Great Fire of London was bad because the houses were made of wood and they were very close together so it spread a lot. It was very lucky that not many people died. Samuel Pepys saved his Parmesan cheese and wine by burying it so it didn’t burn.

  4. Libby says:

I know it started in pudding lane in 1666. Samuel kept a diary so he knew when events happened to tell the king. If i were an eye witness it would of been scary and I would run away. If I could save something it would of been my polar bear and squash to drink.

  5. Archie Higgins says:

Archie’s knows that the great fire of London was in 1666. It started in the bakery and spread across London as it was windy. Samuel Pepys wrote a diary so he could remember and share with others what he saw and felt during the fire. If Archie was an eye witness he would have felt sad and scared.

  6. Elliot says:

I have learnt that it started in Pudding Lane in 1666. The fire spread quickly because it was windy and the houses were wooden and built close together. The safest place to be was on the River Thames. People buried their precious things. I think Samuel Pepys wrote a diary so he could tell the King all about the fire. If I was an eyewitness I would have buried some containers of water and apples. I would have been terrified.

  7. Phoebe says:

If I saw the fire I would be scared and worried. 13,000 houses were burnt down during the great fire which burnt for 4 days., the fire spread quickly because the houses were made of wood and straw. If I had to save something I would bury my Charlie bear and all my LOL dolls!

  8. Ben Aherne says:

Ben said there was fire everywhere. It spread quickly because the houses were too close together. He knows it happened in 1666. If he could save anything he would save pip (the dog) and blackcurrant.

  9. Charlie Thomas says:

The fire was big and scary and I would have been frightened. It started in a bakery when everyone was asleep and spread very quickly through 13000 houses! The fire stopped at the end of the street. Samuel Pepys kept a diary so he would remember what happened. If I had lived at the same time as the fire of London then I would have asked my mummy and daddy for help to escape. If I had to do it on my own then I would find someone safe to run to. I would have buried my sword and some orange juice to save them from the fire.

  10. Max Reedman says:

Max knows that the Great Fire of London started in 1666 in a bakery in Pudding Lane. The fire spread quickly because it was windy and the buildings were made of wood. Max would have been sad and scared if he was there. Max would have saved his family, dogs and his football goals if he had been there.
