Year 6 think that to keep ourselves healthy, we need a good nights sleep! Also, we know that we need to eat lots of fruit and vegetables to make sure we are getting the right nutrients from our diet. Exercise is very important to keep our hearts healthy and to keep us fit and strong.
It is important to have a healthy mindset so we can work better in school and try and be more positive.
Georgia Palmer says she is healthy as she does alot of cycling and eats the right kind of foods most of the time!
Daisy Woodman is healthy as she also does alot of exercise as she enjoys walking and netball.
Charlie is healthy as he plays cricket, goes to the gym and is outdoors alot of the time so he gets lots of fresh air and isn’t inside playing on his X box everyday.
Lily is healthy as she enjoys walking her dog and playing netball although she knows she should eat more fruit and vegetables!
Mariyam says she is going to try and play outdoors more often and Jacob Shields says he is going to run more often.
Year 6 enjoyed the assembly and they now know of more ways to stay healthy, fit and strong.
Year 2 talked about being healthy.
Sebastian said that our body needs lots of water so we need to drink lots of water! Ellie talked about how important it is to keep clean because we would catch germs if we didn’t and we would smell. Lee said that drinking tooo many fizzy drinks are not good for you. Ellie also said that it is important to go to bed early so that we have lots of sleep.
We talked about ways that we can keep healthy. Max said he eats healthy food including fruit and vegetables. Charlie says that you need to exercise. He said he likes to run, jump and ride his bike. Elliot said you need to go to bed early and sleep well. Elsie said that she enjoys riding her scooter to keep fit. Courtney does star jumps and skipping to keep herself fit. Libby said drinking lots of water and milk is good for you. Finley said you will get strong bones and teeth if you drink milk. Alex said we need to wash regularly so we don’t smell and to get rid of germs. William said that fresh air is good for us.
Reuben said he thought he was healthy as he likes to eat fruit, to workout, sleep and drink water. Joe said he is healthy as he plays football, eats healthy food, drinks water and has a shower.
Ben said he is going to try and drink more water. Joe said he will try some new fruits. Libby said she is going to eat more bread to give her energy. Ellis said he will try more vegetables.
We played a game in our class and we had to decide whether the statements were a healthy or unhealthy choice. We were really good at deciding and got it right every time!!
Here are some things that Year 3 are going to do to be a little bit healthier every day:
Lily-Mae is going to stretch her muscles every morning when she wakes up.
Megan is going to try and eat 1 more healthy thing every day.
Dylan is going to do extra exercise on Fridays and on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays he is going to eat better.
James is going to try and eat more veggies.
Freya Roberts is going to try a little more exercise when doing netball.
Anaya is going to try and ride her bike every Saturday morning for the next 6 weeks.
Lots of children in Year 3 are going to try and wake up and SMILE every day to start the day HAPPY.
Lily would like to try to go outside and ride my bike on the patio more each week.
Adah is going to do 20 situps and 20 push-ups every day IN HER PJS after she wakes up.
