The thing I most enjoyed about Kenilworth Castle was going in the keep. The arrow slits were for shooting arrows out at the knights who were attacking. A portcullis is like a gate that comes down and traps the knights. The guards poured hot liquid on the attacking knights to make them take their armour so they could kill them. I can remember that Elizabeth 1 wore loads of layers of clothes and Robert Dudley was her person. He acted like a king but he wasn’t. Elizabeth 1 went ti see Robert Dudley at Kenilworth Castle.
