You can use a colon or semi colon by introducing a list or adding some more information. When you use one you always have to have a main clause (a sentence that can stand on its own) before the colon. And when you use it the word that comes after the colon doesn’t need a capital letter.

When I did playground leaders me and my team had a picture that we had to try and find, we turned over a piece of paper and tried to find that picture and the first team to get all of them were the winners! We had to describe a picture to our partners and then they had to try and draw it. We all had to order our selves in a line of boys and a line of girls without talking to each other.
