Lois saw her school top in the washing pile – that is yellow.
Daddy’s sock is yellow.
The back of the Lego cards are yellow.
There is a yellow teddy bear on Lois’ box of games.
A leaflet from a food shop was yellow.
Jem’s tortoise shell is yellow and black.
We saw 7 yellow things – we added them up using the simple tally.
We found lots of yellow things including a ball, paper, a rubber glove and a Pokémon. We used a tally to count how many. I found 40 different yellow objects.
Sofia had lots of fun finding over 40 yellow things in the house and counting them all with a tally. Some of the things we found included a snake, a tiger, a rubber duck in the bath, her brothers bedroom walls, bubble bath, crayon and lots of yellow books.
Eleonora has found 8 yellow things around the home,3 Eleonora’s t-shirts,a bath towel,2 dresses,mum’ socks,the sofa cover,we used the tally by adding them one by one.
Henry’s favourite things are yellow- diggers! We found lots of these and raided his car box to find even more!
We spent lots of time lining them up and counting.
Molly found lots of yellow objects including a foot pump, bananas, lemons, Socks, a rubber duck and a tennis ball.

I found a yellow Lego name tag on my brother’s bag, yellow buttons on my watch and a yellow haribo sweetie!!! Also my library book from school was yellow. Bananas are yellow too but I had eaten them all
I found 28 yellow things at our house and used a tally chart to count them. We found a sunflower, Lego bricks, a tennis ball, an I spy book, yellow cushions, pikachu, wooden letter on bedroom door, Lego box, yellow paint and lots more!
Charlie and Molly found lots of yellow objects and we created a tally for each type. For example, we found 18 books with yellow covers and 6 yellow ‘clip its’, 7 yellow screws on the tool bench, 5 plastic bananas in the toy food and 3 yellow pairs of pants and socks in the drawer. Molly has a beautiful pair of yellow shoes too as it is her favourite colour – she will enjoy next week! In total, we found around 70 objects and quite a few of each one. Charlie found yellow key fobs in the drawer and we saw some sting cream in a yellow box, these were the most unusual things.
