In Year 3 we watched a video about plastic in the ocean and where it goes. All of us in Year 3 think we can all make a difference and dispose of rubbish correctly. In our classroom recycle paper, cardboard, plastic and we compost fruit and veg rubbish too!

We think a WHOLE school litter pick would be a good idea!!

We need to protect our planet because we only have ONE HOME and we need to look after it.

  2. Year 1 says:

Year 1 thought the first pictures were good and they said they liked our clean world. When we looked at the second set they thought that it was sad that the tree had been cut, that the sea was full of rubbish and that the sky was filled with smog. This made them feel unhappy.

Libby said that the second set of pictures were caused by people not taking care of our precious world. We talked about what we could do to look after our world.

Reuben said that we should not drop litter. William said we should recycle and reuse things so we don’t make waste. We thought it was important that we all do our bit and take responsibility for the wonderful world we live in to make it a happy place for everyone.

  3. Year 4 says:

Year 4 reflected on the pictures that they were shown on Monday. The first set of pictures made them feel happy about the world and fortunate to live in such a beautiful world. The second group of photos made them feel really sad. Year 4 talked about things that we can do to look after our world such as reusing and recycling things rather than just throwing them away. Lots of children said that we need to make sure that we don’t drop litter and spoil our world.

  4. Year 2 says:

Year 2 loved some of the pictures shown in assembly. They made them feel happy and surprised. Year 2 love our magical world. However, some of the pictures made us feel sad. We talked about how we can look after our world by not dropping litter on the floor and looking after our beaches.
