She was a lady that said black people should be able to do the same things as white people. We should be equal not treated differently. After a long day working she went on the bus and the driver told her to move for a white man (she was black) and she refused so they sent her to jail. I would have felt horrified to be treated differently. She was very brave to say what she thought and she tried to make everyone think the same as her.

  2. Lexiemoore says:

The driver said ” give this seat to the man” If that happened to me I’d feel sad.

If I was in this situation I would feel like nobody liked me and a bit sad. on the bus the driver said to Rosa Parks get up and leave because a white person didn’t get a seat . In those days white people were separated from dark people until Rosa Parks stepped up and changed the law.

  4. Max says:

I thought Rosa was very brave not to give up her seat. I would have felt very sad if it happened to me.

  5. Ted Mitchell says:

The law at the time in America was that black people had to sit in one part of the bus and white people in a different part, this is segregation. If a white person didn’t have a seat then a black person had to move but Rosa thought it wasnt fair so she wouldn’t give up her seat even when she knew she would be arrested. She fought for equal rights by encouraging people not to use the busses. If I was Rosa I would have felt very angry because we are all humans on this planet.

  6. Alfie jenkins says:

Rosa Parks was a famous lady from America who helped changed the law by standing up for herself against the driver of the bus who had different colour skin.

  7. Jacob Parry says:

Rosa went to jail because she wouldn’t give her seat on the bus to a white man. If I was her I would be angry. Segregation is splitting differences into groups.

  8. Oliver Parry says:

Rosa was a brave person because she didn’t give her seat even though it was the law. If I was Rosa I would feel angry. I think she got the medal because she stood up for herself and other black people.

  9. Saffy Woodcock says:

Rosa paid for a ticket to go on the bus and a white man came and took her seat. I would be upset if that happenend to me. She received a medal because of the work she did for equal rights.

  10. Jacob Norris says:

Rosa Parks was on the bus, and had an argument with the bus driver because, in those days, the law said that black people had to give up their seats to white people, but she didn’t think that was right. She refused to give up her seat, so the bus driver called the police and they arrested her. The mayor said that Rosa Parks was right to not give up her seat, and he changed the law.

I think she would have felt sad, and also angry that she was treated differently because her skin was brown instead of white. If it happened to me I would feel a little bit sad.

  11. Tommy says:

Rosa Parks was a lady who fought for equal rights.
She was asked to give up her seat on the bus so a white man could sit down, but she was very brave and refused to give up her seat.

  12. Sophie Allberry says:

Rosa Parks didn’t get off the seat when there were no places for a white person. She did this to show that it doesn’t matter what colour your skin is. I think Rosa felt sad because she didn’t want to get off the seat. I would feel sad too for the same reason Rosa did.

  13. Umar says:

I agree that Rosa Park did the right thing not to leave her seat and I would be upset if someone asked me to leave the seat for them.

  14. Imogen says:

Rosa Parks was a black woman who lived in America. She was very brave to not give up her seat for a white man. Because she stood up for the black people she got a medal. Segregation is when different types of people, like black and white, are separated, which is a very bad thing because they are treated differently.

If I were in that situation I would feel angry and scared and I would give up my seat because then I wouldn’t get in trouble with the police.

  15. Kareem from PA says:

Rosa parks was a grave women by standing up for her self. She stood up and said,”This is my seat not yours”,to a white man. (Which back then segregation was still active) She is among the great like Martin Luther king and Aberham Lincoln.
