Today Darcy, Scarlett and Mom caught the train to Henley in Arden and back. We have taken lots of photos and Darcy will bring a couple in on Monday along with our train ticket.
We saw lots of things through the window, Darcy saw another train pass us super fast! We also saw lots of peoples back gardens, lots of fields and trees and flowers. Lots of different animals like birds, horses, cows and sheep. We saw a big yellow digger as well. We all loved our journey on the train 🙂

    • Mrs Turner says:

Wow, that sounds like an exciting train journey! We can’t wait to see your pictures Darcy. Which part of the train journey did you find the most exciting?

  2. Nathan says:

My daddy took me on a train ride on Saturday into Birmingham. I was very excited and the train was really fast. We saw a fire at the side of the track, a big chimney blowing steam out and a lake with ducks. Another train passed us by at super speed. We went under a bridge, passed by houses and saw their gardens. I spotted a big yellow crane and a massive silver building through the window too as we got to Birmingham. I will bring some pictures in on Monday to show everyone. It was a really sunny day and we could see lovely blue sky through the window too.

We are looking forward to hearing all about your exciting train journey Nathan. Do you know the name of the big silver building that you saw? What shape was it?

We didn’t go on a train this weekend but last week we came back from our holiday on 4 different trains! We left the mountains in France on a slow train which stopped at 5 stations. Through the window we could see giant mountains with snow on the tops. Our next train was really big with seats upstairs and downstairs. It also had a shop and a café. We sat upstairs and had a great view. We saw an airport, lots of fields and animals and we also saw Disneyland in Paris which was one of the stops that the train made. The third train was called the Eurostar and it went under the sea in a long tunnel. It was really dark in the tunnel and when we looked out of the window all we could see was our reflection! Our last train was from London to Birmingham and eventually we arrived back home at tea time.

    • Mrs Turner says:

What a lot of different trains! Your holiday sounds like it was lots of fun 🙂 Which train did you prefer Rosa?

I went to Cotswold Wildlife park with my family in half term and we took a steam train ride right round the park. We saw lots of animals during our ride like giraffes, camels and even giant tortoises. We also went through a long, dark tunnel and couldn’t see anything until we came out!

  5. Euan says:

Euan didn’t go on a train this weekend, but during half term he went on a train to Birmingham with Mummy and Eleanor to visit the new library. Euan likes trains because you don’t need to wear a seatbelt and you can see more out of the window 😀

    • Mrs Turner says:

I love going to the new library, what did you think Euan? What sorts of buildings did you see through the train window?

  6. The Parry Boys says:

Today we went on a train to Leamington to see Nana and Grandad. We saw the motorway we usually drive on to get to Nana’s and we noticed how much quicker the train was than the cars. We saw houses, fields, sheep, other trains go by and we saw some shops. We also saw some water and we went through some bridges and over others. Oliver thought he spotted some giant marshmallows but Mummy said they were hay bales wrapped in plastic. On the way home Jacob fell asleep on the train, we both really enjoyed it.

  7. Khai says:

We have been away all weekend so we couldn’t fit in a train journey which was a shame. We have talked about other train rides. I went with Daddy and Lucy on the underground train in London a while ago to the Natural History Museum (to see the dinosaurs of course!). The underground was very dark. We have also been on steam trains and normal trains. Its good fun going on the train and everything goes past very fast. My papa (grandfather) once got to drive a steam train for his birthday.

    • Mrs Turner says:

What an amazing birthday present, your Papa is very lucky! The trains in London can be very busy, which type of train do you prefer Khai?

  8. Joel Kavanagh says:

We didn’t have chance at the weekend to go on a train ride but on Tuesday after school we went on a quick trip from Widney Manor to Solihull! We go on the Santa Steam Train every Christmas so Joel wondered why this train didn’t have Steam! He noticed how much quicker the train was than the car and liked that he was travelling backwards!!! Joel spotted Tudor Grange Leisure centre where he goes for his swimming lessons and really enjoyed our little trip! We will send a picture in of Joel and Ellis enjoying the train!
