    On Burns Night, there are toasts, someone recites the Burns poem Address To A Haggis and those celebrating cut into a haggis and eating neeps, tatties and a wee dram – or, in other words, turnips, potatoes and whiskey.

    I think the Scotland people are proud of him because he wrote famous poems and songs

    Robert Burns was famous for writing songs and poems. He wrote a poem called Auld Lang Syne, people today sing this as a traditional song to say goodbye to the old year and welcome in the new year at midnight.

    I liked the poem because it was foe a mouse and I like animals.

    On burns night people celebrate and say the Serlik Grace poem before the first coarse.

    I think the scots are proud of Robert burns because he is famous and he was born in Scotland so he made them proud.
    A song that robert burn made is called ( A fiddler in the north)

    Burns night is to celebrate Robert Burns and his poems. 25th January is his birthday. It is celebrated by reading his poems, bagpipes and food. The most popular food on burns night is haggis, people in Scotland are proud of Robert Burns because of all the things he did for the culture there. I found another poem called TO A MOUSE, it is tricky to read for me because it is written like the Scottish accent, but then there was an English translation.

    The poem is saying be thankful for the food on our tables.
    Another poem written by burns is Auld Lang Syne.
    On Burns night its tradition to eat haggis.
    Burns poems were inspirational.

    Mrs Norris was the only one to have heard of Robert Burns. Robert Burns is an ancestor of Mrs Norris’s. He is her great, great, great, great, great Grandfather!

    Mylo told us that Robert Burns is famous for his poetry.

    ‘Selkirk Grace’ Maya said its a prayer. Some want food but they don’t have any. Isaac said we have to give thanks to the Lord for giving us food.

    Burns night – Maya said they sing ‘Auld Lang syne’, Jay said they read Robbie Burns Poems and they eat Haggis, neeps and tatties.

    The Scots are so proud of Robert Burns, Rio thought it was because he was famous. Jay said because he made some really good poems.

    What is Robert burns famous for? Roberts burns is famous for creating poems which are still enjoyed 100 years later.
    What happens on burns night.? Mostly Swedish people celebrate it and it is traditional to eat haggis and to play the bagpipes.
    Did you know anything about Robert burns before the assembly? No I didn’t.

    Robert burns is famous for his poetry. I found the mouse poem confusing. I think the poem is trying to say to be thankful. On burns night Scottish people eat haggis.

    What did you think about the mouse poem? I thought it was okay I think there are better poems out there though.
    I found a poem written by him called, A red red rose.

    No. He was famous for his poems. It is saying be thankful for the things you have. People traditionally eat haggis and remember him. Because he wrote inspiring poems. Address to a Haggis.

    Before the assembly I didn’t know who Robert Burns was.

    Robert Burns was famous for writing poems but he only came to fame after his death.

    I liked the mouse poem as it was a new and different poem to me.

    The poem is saying that on Burns night they have Burns night supper before the first course is served. Some people can eat it and some people can not but they thank the lord for it.

    I think Scots are so proud of Robert Burns because he is an exceptional poet writer and has influenced many people and he was born in Scotland.
