  2. Year 2 says:

    Year 2 had a lovely chat about what we had enjoyed the most about Christmas. The children shared favourite gifts that they had received as well as all of the yummy food that they had eaten.
    We talked about the fact that some people make new year resolutions and think of things that they want to do differently or improve upon in the new year. We talked about resolutions that we will make in school and how they will help us at school and then we recorded these so that we can help each other to achieve our resolutions.

  3. Year 1 says:

    Year 1 ‘s favourite thing about Christmas:
    The yummy Christmas dinner – Gwen
    My new TV – Noah

    My new Barbie house – Eva
    The Christmas Hunt for presents – Rio
    My trip to Legoland – Reuben
    My trip to Snow White – Alfie
    My trip to Robin Hood – Eva

    Holly celebrated New Year at her cousin’s house with fireworks and sparklers.
    Albie had fireworks in the garden at midnight.
    Orla went bowling on New Year’s Eve.

    We talked about our new year’s resolutions. Holly and Dylan said they are going to keep their bedrooms tidy. Eva said she is going to exercise to keep fit and healthy.
    Year 1 said that the most popular resolution was to keep fit and healthy by exercising and cutting down on unhealthy food.

  4. Miss Payne says:

    Year 3 had a fabulous time at Christmas. Danny and his family played some great board games. Danny was very pleased to have beaten his Mum and Dad. Ellie and her family had a delicious turkey dinner on Christmas Day.

    Nearly all of the year 3 children stayed up until after midnight on New Years Eve to party into the New Year. Maisie saw some amazing fireworks and Imogen had a great evening at home with her family.

    All of the Year 3 children made New Years resolutions. These included:

    To be kinder to their brothers and sisters;
    To keep their rooms tidy;
    To be helpful to others.

    We are all going to try really hard to keep our resolutions.

    How we celebrated NY in year 4:
    Oliver – we stayed up to midnight, sang Auld lang syne and we watched TV to see the New Year concert
    Neil – we went to church and held some candles at midnight
    Jack – we stayed up till midnight and we watched the fireworks on the TV

    NY resolutions:
    Freya R: I’m going to try and be less annoying to my brother
    Charlie: to score lots of goals in football. I’m going to have to work hard
    Lily S: be kinder to my brother
    Eva: be kinder to my sister

    Our number 1 class resolution is to try and transition between activities without making lots of noise.
    A good resolution for the world would be for us to all do our bit to take more care of our environment.
