  1. Year 6 says:

    Year 6 will be doing all sorts of things this Easter!

    Jacob S has his grandad coming to visit over Easter.
    Tianna-Mae is going to Devon with her family.
    Lily is going to Scotland for the first week of the holidays.
    Dan K is going to Appledore in Devon and is staying in a caravan.
    Georgia P is celebrating her birthday in the holidays.
    Poppy is going camping in Cornwall.
    Dan M is going to Wales and staying in a lodge.
    Charlie is seeing his Aunt and cousin who are visiting from Australia!
    Daisy W is going to Cyprus.
    Mariyam is going to watch movies.
    Zak might be going to Cornwall.

    Year 6 know that Christians believe Jesus died on Good Friday and rose again on Easter Sunday. The Easter egg symbolises new life.

    Most of us in Year 6 will be eating lots of chocolate over Easter.

    Year 5:
    What does Easter mean to you?
    In Year 5, Easter means different things to each of us. For some of us, it makes us think about chocolate eggs, for others it is a time to remember Jesus or a time for families to come together. Chicks remind us of Easter.

    What will you be doing during the Easter holiday?
    Year 5 are doing lots of exciting things during the holidays such as: going on holiday, spending time with friends and family, going on special days out and celebrating birthdays.

    Do you think you will be having any chocolate this Easter?
    Year 5 will definitely be enjoying some chocolate over Easter! 🙂

    Foundation have thought of many things that make them happy at Easter time. Rio said Easter makes him happy because of the chocolate. Isaac and Holly said thinking of the cave Jesus was buried in made them feel happy (the easter egg shape) and Eva said bunnies at Easter made her happy.

    Foundation are all looking forward to the holidays:
    Sebby is looking forward to the Safari Park
    Dylan is going to the farm
    Chandler is looking forward to doing an Easter egg hunt at the Caravan Park
    Eva and Isaac said they where looking at going for a special meal with their families.
    Ava is going camping
    Holly Kinsey is looking forward to going to her holiday house.

    Mrs Norris then showed the children an Easter story on Youtube used with Lego.

    Year 1 are all excited about the Easter holidays. Joe said he knows that Jesus died on the cross at Easter and we eat hot cross buns to remember this. Matthew said that easter makes him think of chocolate. Elliot said he thinks about the Easter bunny coming. William said he looks for new life on his journey to family and friends in thr holidays – new lambs and spring flowers.
    Libby told us that we eat chocolate at Easter because eggs are a sign of new life and Jesus came back to life to say goodbye to his friends.
    Charlie T, Max, Ellis are going to be doing an Easter egg hunt in the garden. Matthew is going to the Knights castle in Legoland. Phoebe is going to celebrate her Dad’s birthday and Libby is going to have a rock climbing party for her friends on her birthday. Ben is going to be moving house. Ben B is going to a football match to watch Wolves play.
    Year 1 are all looking forward to having a good rest and eating chocolate treats!

    Christians believe that Jesus died on Good Friday and came back to life on Easter Sunday and that’s why we celebrate at Easter time.
    I am going to Lego land and staying in a castle for the weekend. I am looking forward to going on lots of rides. I think i might eat some Easter eggs over the holidays.

    Easter means to us that you celebarate as a family and be together.

    Tianna-mae will be going on holiday to devon and enjoying her easter chocolate.
    Kya will be watching films whilst she’s eating her chocolate.

    The hard shell of the egg represents the tomb and the emerging chick represents Jesus.
    Chicks represent new life.
    Easter is not always on the same day but is celebrated on the Sunday after the first full moon following the first day of spring.

    Year 4 are going to be doing lots of different things over the Easter holidays.

    Poppy is going to Weymouth.
    Isla is going to Devon.
    Joe is going to Cornwall.
    Ben is going to Wales.
    Alex is going to Devon too!
    Ross is going to Fuerteventura.
    William is going to Devon.
    Archie is going to Cornwall.
    Oliver is going Lanzarote.
    Adam is going to France.
    Daniel is staying at home and going to be playing computer games.

    We know that Christians believe that Jesus died on Good Friday and rose again on Easter Sunday.

    The whole class will be eating lots of yummy chocolate over Easter.
