  1. Hattie-Bluebell says:

We read the story and we watched the animated version on Youtube. We talked about the different materials the houses were made from, and why the Wolf could not blow down the house made of Bricks. Also, which materials are stronger and the types of buildings made from each.
Hattie thought the pigs would have been very frightened to have been chased out of their houses by a wolf. She thought they probably wouldn’t have time to pack a suitcase!

  2. Lily-grace says:

Today we read the story the three little pigs, Lily told me the wolf was naughty as he should have gone to the shop if he was hungry not blow houses down, she also told me mommy pig was being unkind as she didn’t want to live with them anymore. The three pigs however are apparently good at sharing as they all live together at the end.

  3. Olivia P says:

The wolf was naughty because he blew the houses down. The two pigs were cheeky because they didn’t build their houses out of bricks!

    • Mrs Turner says:

It did seem like the last pig was more willing to do the extra work and of course the other two did benefit from this.

  4. Ava says:

Ava loves the story of the three little pigs and even has a set of puppets. We had a great time acting the story out and doing lots of silly voices! Ava particularly likes Mommys silly piggy voice! She is looking forward to making the model too!

  5. Alex says:

Max thinks the wolf is bad because he blows the house down and eats two pigs! Max thinks that the two pigs that build their homes out of sticks and straw aren’t so smart but the one who uses bricks is very clever. Max enjoys reading the three little pigs.

    • Mrs Turner says:

The story is very exciting in parts, I am glad you enjoyed the story Max. I think the third pigs was very hard working and patient as it takes a long time to build a house from bricks.

  6. Oliver Roberts says:

Oliver really enjoyed the three little pigs story, he told me that the pigs behaviour was good and the wolf was bad because he blew the house down

  7. Zach says:

Zach thought the Wolf was very naughty for blowing down the pigs house.

  8. Phoebe Woodcock says:

Phoebe thought the big bad wolf was naughty trying to blow the three little pigs houses down. The three little pigs would have been very scared. Phoebe has been building houses using Lego and Duplo.

  9. Johanne Thomas says:

Charlie T’s thoughts on the behaviour of the pigs and wolf are – that the wolf is naughty and “bad”. When I asked him why he thought the wolf wanted to eat the pigs, he said it was because he was hungry! He naturally said the pigs were scared and didn’t build strong houses. He then told me that they didn’t listen to their mummy. We also talked about the pig in the brick house being clever because he built a strong house and managed to trick the wolf at the end.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Charlie has been enjoying this learning theme, the story is a very exciting one! I agree Charlie, the third pig thought carefully about what to build and how to make a strong house. Thank you for your super challenge work.:)

  10. Matilda Stiles says:

The three little pigs is one of Matilda’s favourite story’s to read, we read it last night before bed and she knows the story very well. She thinks the big bag wolf is very naughty for blowing down the pigs houses! She also thinks that the pig that built it she house from bricks was the cleverest pig! She went out with her daddy in the rain today to pick some sticks and can’t wait to use them at school.

    • Mrs Turner says:

Thank you for bringing in the sticks Matilda, we began to use them today to cover our painted box. We looked carefully at what happened to the stick if we turned the box over to stick them on the other side. We found out that we definitley needed to wait for the glue to dry as they kept falling on the floor. We are going to be very patient and do a little each day!

  11. William Harris says:

William thought the wolf was very unkind to eat the first 2 little pigs. He said he thought those pigs hadn’t made a good choice with what they built their house with.
He thought the 3rd little pig was good because he got rid of the naughty wolf.

    • Mrs Turner says:

The third pig made a very good choice when buying the bricks, it is sad that the first two pigs were eaten in your version of the story William.

  12. Charlie W says:

Charlie was really determined to get as much wood as possible so that the wolf couldn’t blow his house in, Charlie enjoyed the story and is glad that our house is made of bricks. He is looking forward to getting more involved this week with the story

    • Mrs Turner says:

Thank you for your contributions! We have lots of branches and twigs and we will enjoy using and creating with them this week.

  13. Dylan Green says:

Dylan said that the wolf is scary and the most sensible pig is the one who built the brick house.

  14. Alexander says:

Alexander enjoyed the three little pigs story (we have read it in Polish and watched an English version on you tube). Alexander says the wolf was unkind because he blew the pigs house down.

    • Mrs Turner says:

I agree with you Alexander, the pigs were scared of the wolf and he ruined the homes that they had built. Super challenge work Alexander!
