    I liked watching the programme about Florence Nightingale, it helped me learn that she was good at looking after people and caring. She deserved a medal for helping the soldiers.
    I would like to be a policeman.

    I have enjoyed learning how Florence helped people and how she helped them to get better. She was kind, nice and caring. She gave a boy some warm soup in the video we watched in our classroom and that was very kind.
    She was known as lady with the lamp because she always held a lamp when she visited the soldiers in the dark and that is why the soldiers liked her because she would visit them and help them.

    I would like to be a Nurse like Florence Nightingale when I grow up because I want the help as many people as possible. I think it is important to help each other.

    Florence Nightingale wanted to help people when they were poorly, she was a very special nurse. Florence became known as the lady with the lamp because she often visited soldiers at night when everyone was asleep to make sure they were OK. When I grow up I want to be a footballer.

    Florence Nightingale was a very kind lady. She helped the soldiers when the were poorly they had no beds or clothes and horrible food. She made everyone listen and eventually the hospitals were clean. She was called The Lady with the Lamp because she checked on the soldiers late at night and she had a lamp because there were no electric lights. When I grow up I want to be a clothes designer.

    Florence was the lady with the lamp who helped the poorly soldiers. I think she was very kind and brave.
    When I am older I would like to be a vet and look after poorly pets.

    Florence Nightingale was a very caring person and deserved a medal for looking after sick people. She used her lamp at night time to check on poorly soldiers. I am enjoying learning about Florence and enjoyed the video.

    The soldiers that Florence looked after had no clean sheets or clothes and Florence helped them when they were poorly.

    I have enjoyed colouring the Florence Nightingale picture. She gave warm soup to the sick soldiers and that was very kind. I think she deserves a medal because she helped make the hospitals clean, no horrible food and clean clothes.

    I would like to be an artist when I grow up because I love painting.

    I really enjoyed the programme about Florence Nightingale.
    She was a kind nurse who worked very hard, caring for lots of people.
    She was known as the lady with the lamp as she worked in the dark at night, making sure the ill soldiers were comfortable.
    My mummy is a nurse and she works nights while I am fast asleep at home.
    I would like to be a gymnast when I’m older!

    lily-mae really enjoyed the programme about Florence nightingale especially the part when she went round with the lamp and gave all the poorly people a kiss as I thought the was a lovely kind thing to do. And this is also why she was known as the lady of the lamp as she would carry a lamp around with her so she could see what she was doing and take care of the poorly soldiers .
    when I am older I would like to be a nurse like my sister sophie

    Oliver really enjoyed learning about Florence and how she helped the sick soldiers. She carried the lamp all the time. She made the hospital cleaner so the soldiers didn’t die from germs. She was very kind, very nice, and she was lucky because she came from a good background, so she tried to help others who had less. She deserved the medal she got. Oliver would like to be a school teacher at Cheswick Green, aka Mr Reynolds!

    Florence Nightingale deserved a medal because she helped the soldiers in a kind and caring way. Florence cleaned the hospitals which made it safer for the soldiers so they didn’t get infections in their wounds. She was known as the Lady with the lamp because she carried an oil lamp when checking on the soldiers at night. When I grow up I want to be a explorer.

    Riley has told me all about watching the DVD about Florence Nightingale! He said he really enjoyed it and told me how she is known as the lady with the lamp and she looked after sick people even if they didn’t want her help.

    Riley wants to be a Mounain Rescuer with the help of our dog Molly.

    Florence nightingale was a very kind , generous and loving person. She helped the poorly soldiers and gave them soup.

    When I grow up I want to be a vet and I will help animals in pain but I won’t do operations and I will feed babies milk and water. I will give them a little cage.
