A lot of us will be celebrating with fireworks and going to an event with friends.
Harry is having a sleepover with cousins and going to a bonfire.
Freddie is going to Alton Towers for their fireworks.
Charlie is having his own bonfire with family at his house.

The food we are looking forward to eat is
    -toffee apples
    -marshmallows
    -smores
    -burgers and hot dogs
    -hot chocolate

We loved the song by Katy Perry.
We think the song is about you being like a firework. Believe in yourself and know that if you are struggling, good times are around the corner.

  2. Year 1 says:

Lots of the chidren will be celebrating Bonfire Night going to displays. Oscar said he is having a display in his garden. Winnie said she is going to Freya’s house for a firework display. Lemell said he will be going to his Nanny’s to watch fireworks.

We wrote a list of Bonfire Night food today. Here are our ideas:
    -Hot dogs
    -Tomato Soup
    -Jacket Potato and cheese
    -Burger in a Bun
    -Marshmallows
    -Hot Chocolate
    Toffee Apples

We enjoyed listening to the music. Freya though it was lively. Danny said it made him feel happy. Lots of children sang along.

Lots of children in Year 2 are going to a bonfire display this weekend. We are looking forward to seeing some fireworks. We talked about bonfire food and how colourful the fireworks are.

We listened to the song ‘Firework’
What do you think it is about?
Morwenna – I think it is about someone being really bold, bright and big
Na’Taiyah – I think it is about fireworks. I noticed when it got louder it sounded like loud fireworks.

Chandler recalled the events leading up to Guy Fawkes’ attempted gunpowder plot. The class remembered learning about this in Year 1.

We enjoyed listening to the song very much. Lots of us knew the words.
Do you think there times when you are a firework? or you need to be a firework?
Gwen- sometimes we feel angry and explode
Sebby- sometimes we burst with excitement
Luella- sometimes we complete lots of challenges and people say, “you are on fire!”
Clayton- anger makes you feel like throwing things.

Do you think there times when you need to be a firework?
Dylan- in a race. Act quickly
Eleonora- when you are late for something like a plane
    Isabelle- running for an emergency
