We went to the bakery shop and we couldn’t see any current buns. We talked about bread and cakes. We bought a chocolate gingerbread man for me and rocky road for Livy. And nothing for Mummy!
We saw lots of cakes at the bakers. There were chocolate, toffee, lemon, fruit, currant buns and gingerbread men. We saw a baker making chocolate crispy cakes using a big bowl and her hands and then scooping the mixture into the cases and putting eggs on the top.
I enjoyed going to the bakery, we went to Becketts Farm. We saw lots of cakes and lots of different rolls and bread. We could also see the different machines where the bread is made. I got to pick a cake when I was there and it was very yummy.
Finnley Coles visited Wedges the bakery. Together we looked at all the bread, there were different sizes and shapes. Finnley wanted bread with a cross on. The bakery also sold pastries and cakes. Finnley brought his dad an iced bun, Finnley had a rocky road that had chocolate and marshmallows. Dylan had a chocolate crispy cake with chocolate eggs on the top.
Jake has great fun visiting a local bakery in Hockley heath. We spent time looking at all the cakes and breads. We could see through to the kitchens where the food is made. Jake brought a currant bun and enjoyed eating it. He also loved using some pretend cakes at home and playing a baker and singing the nursery rhyme with his mummy, daddy, baby sister and cousin.
We went to Becketts Farm and looked at the different types of bread, shapes, colours. Emma loved all the cakes and couldn’t decide which one to pick as a treat. She loved watching the machine that sliced the loaves.
We visited Becketts Farm to look at the bread and cakes. The first thing Chloe said was wow smells yummy. Chloe looked at all the trays of bread that was coming out of the oven and then picked a cake with a mermaid tail on top.
Mason went to visit wedges bakery. He noticed the nice smell on the way in and thought it might be the bread.He said the bread looked yummy to eat. Mason chose a cake to eat with marshmallows on. At home he was able to tell me that the bakery sold bread, cakes and cheese.

Dorothy went to a bakery during her holiday. She looked at all of the delicious cakes and different types of bread. The baker was busy cleaning the glass display cabinet, and Dorothy smiled at her. Dorothy chose to buy a currant bun with sugar on the top which she shared with her brother Johnny. This was Dorothy’s favourite part!

Also, we checked online the different types of bread. Ella asked how many types of bread she has tried so far.
Elsie went to ‘Bakery on the Water’ in Bourton on the Water. We saw so many cakes and treats. Elsie ordered two cupcakes and they put them in a fancy box for her to take home. One had smarties on the top and the other had chocolate sprinkles. We took lots of photos and printed them out to bring in.
