We downloaded the story on the tablet and watched it on there. After we watched the story Matilda said that the little hens friends weren’t being very kind to her and the hen did all the work and her friends then wanted to eat the bread even though they wouldn’t help her to make it. Matilda said she always likes to be kind and help her friends and we spoke about how she would feel sad if she asked for help and people didn’t help her. We went to the supermarket and looked at different types of bread including, white bread, brown bread, seeded bread, pitta bread and bread rolls. Matilda was interested in how many different types of bread there were. She liked the look of the bread with ‘sugar on top which I explained was actually flour! We bought a white loaf of bread for her sandwiches!
