  1. Year 2 says:

In Year 2 we talked about how sometimes we feel sad and fed up. After a while though people who love us like our mums and dads and friends tell us how we are special and it makes us feel better.
We really like it when we make something nice and people tell us they like it or that its really good. When we are good at something and people notice it makes us feel special.
A lot of us in Year 2 have been brave in many different ways. We shared our brave moments in ‘Circle Time’.

  2. s14lsimmons says:

Anjali said that she had watched someone do a magic trick that she really wanted to do. She got a magic set that taught her how to do magic tricks and now she can do them. Emily said that she had watched a girl dance on television and really wanted to dance like that so she now has lessons. Jack said his special skill was gymnastics and Luke said that he was an expert on Llamas and also good at free running. Grace is excellent at singing and Lucy can swim with her legs stuck together.

  3. Foundation says:

Foundation thought that the mouse was really clever and helpful. We know in Foundation that we are all different and that if we work together we get things done!

  4. Year 1 says:

Year 1 said the mouse freed the animals from the cages using his sharp teeth. Year 1 told me that mouse found it hard to believe in himself because he was so small and felt he hadn’t got any talents. The children told me that the gazelle was fast, the lion was fast too and had strong legs and the monkey could swing using his tail. Everybody tried to share something that they felt they were good at. Mrs Rooke is good at singing and a music expert. Zachary said he was good at riding his bike and Adam said he was great on his scooter. Aaliyah said she was good at colouring and Harvey said he was good at making things. Ben said he was good at maths and Archie said he was a great golfer. Jake said he loved football. Everybody in year 1 said they were good at something and that being good at something makes us special and different to others.

  5. Year 4 says:

The different things that made the animals special were:
    – The gezel could run like the wind.
    – The lion was strong and had a loud roar. He was also the leader.
    – The monkey was good at swinging with his tail.

We think the mouse found it hard to believe in herself because she is small and her talent isn’t very obvious and the other animals laughed at her.

We think that it is good to be yourself. We are all different and we all have special talents.

  6. Year 6 says:

In the story, the mouse found out that her special talent was chewing when she chewed the rope to free the other animals.

We each thought of something that makes us special with some help from our peers.

Here are some examples from our class:
Emily – talking to friends if they feel upset.
Daniel – including others in games.
    J’Jay – talented at boxing.
Ariet- cheering people up by making them laugh when they’re upset.
    Jessica – her netball skills.

  7. Year 3 says:

Year 3 talked about the different talents we all share. We are good at lots of different things. Some of us are good at reading, some of us are good at swimming- we are all good at something! That’s why we are all special!
