We think the firebird would have been huge like an eagle with big wings and he would have breathed out fire as he flew across the sky. Finnley thought he would have lit up the night sky as he flew around the castle.
Sadie likes pop music. Lukas likes to listen to rappers. Ella likes listening to lots of different types of music. Neave and Imogen said their favourite was rock music. Aryan said he likes listening to guitars so he liked the country and westerm music. Jaxon said he liked listening to the piano. Jenny liked listening to the Jurrasic Park theme tune by John Williams. We listened to this in Year 1 because our topic is Dinosaurs this half term.
We are loving our day and are making paper plate maracas this morning.
Year 4 loved listening to the song Happy at the start of the assembly! It made us really excited about World Music Day! It made us feel really happy ourselves.
When we listened to one of the Ten Pieces, we thought about how it was trying to convey the story of the Firebird. When the music got louder and faster, we thought it must be when Ivan rescues the firebird and the princess. We thought the firebird might look like a phoenix…..majestic and magical.
We talked about the different types of music we like in year 4:
Sebastian – Blues
Harry W and Dexter – Heavy Metal
Ellie – Pop
Toby and Caleb – Rap
Imogen – Pop and Rock
