  1. Libby says:

Our house is made of bricks, some houses are made of ice called an igloo. Also people can have wooden houses. Some also live in caravans made of metal.

  2. Matilda says:

We looked at lots of houses and Matilda noticed that some were made from bricks and some from stone. She also noticed that the windows were made from glass and the front doors were wither plastic or wood.

  3. Elliot and Sebby says:

We talked to Elliot and Sebby about the different materials houses are made from. They said houses were made from:
    Bricks
    Cement
    Glass (windows)
    Plastic (window frames)
    Tiles (roof)

We can see some of the houses being built on Cheswick Place from our upstairs windows. The boys noticed that the roofs have wooden beams before the tiles go on. They said we have these in our loft. Sebby also said houses have ‘fluff’ in them so we had a chat about roof insulation and what it is for.

  4. Indiya says:

Indiya and I went for a walk and had a look at some of the houses around where we live. Indiya could see that some houses are made of bricks, glass, wood and tiles.

  5. Gwendoline Huddleston says:

We looked at houses on the way to school and talked about what they were made of, bricks, tiles, plastic, glass, wood and metal. We talked about houses we have seen with a straw/thatched roof. We also talked about he house of sticks in the three little pigs.

  6. Ava says:

Ava has observed a nearby group of houses being built, and we listed materials such as sand, water, wood, cement and bricks being used for construction. Ava also had fun watching a huge crane lifting some of these items into place.
